Privacy policy

Effective date: [to be set on publication]

This policy explains how Pinaka handles personal data in connection with this website, mypinaka.com. Pinaka follows the privacy laws that apply where you live, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP), the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and comparable laws in the other countries we serve. [Legal entity name] is responsible for the personal data described here.

The short version

This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no third-party or advertising scripts. We collect personal data only when you choose to send it to us, for example when you email us or ask us to set up your school. We use that data to reply and to provide the service you asked for, and for nothing else. We do not sell personal data. We never sell student data. You can ask us to show, correct, or delete your data at any time.

Information we collect

From the website

Nothing is collected automatically to identify you. We do not use cookies, analytics, fingerprinting, ad pixels, or third-party trackers. Our hosting provider (Amazon Web Services) may keep basic access logs, such as an IP address and the page requested, for security and reliability. We do not use those logs to profile you.

Information you give us

When you contact us by email, or ask us to set up your school, you may provide your name, your work email, your school or institution name, your role, and anything you write in your message. You choose what to send.

Student and school records

This website does not collect student data. The Pinaka product, which schools use under a separate agreement, processes student and school records on behalf of the school. That processing is governed by the agreement with your school, not by this website policy.

Why we use your data

We use the information you provide to reply to your message, to set up and support your school's account if you ask, and to keep a record of our correspondence with you. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles.

Consent and your choices

We process the data you send us on the basis of your consent and to provide the service you request. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to hello@mypinaka.com. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and it does not affect processing already carried out.

How we store and protect your data

Data is stored and processed in India, on Amazon Web Services in the Mumbai region (ap-south-1). We protect it with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and school-level isolation in the product. No method is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise absolute security, but we apply the safeguards the law requires.

Sharing your data

We do not sell personal data, and there is no advertising business to sell it to. We share data only with service providers who help us run the website and the product, such as our cloud host, under contracts that limit them to our instructions. We may disclose data where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep the data you send us only as long as needed for the purpose you sent it for, or until you ask us to delete it. When the purpose ends, we delete or anonymise it.

Children's data

Some privacy laws, including India's DPDP Act, treat a person under eighteen as a child. This website is meant for school and college owners and staff, who are adults. We do not knowingly collect a child's personal data through this website. Where the product processes data about students who are children, it does so with the consent the law requires, and without tracking or advertising to them.

Your rights

Depending on the law that applies where you live, you can:

To exercise any of these, write to hello@mypinaka.com. We will respond within the time the law allows.

Grievance redressal

If you have a concern about how we handle your data, contact our grievance officer, [grievance officer name], at hello@mypinaka.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India, or to the data protection authority in your country.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service or the law changes. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. We will note significant changes on this page.
